description

cross-synthesizers are spectral effects that take the amplitudes of one signal and combine them with the frequencies of another. they're like really sexy vocoders, but they're usually rare, hard to use, and EXPENSIVE. so i made magnesis!

"magnesis" is a cross-synthesis effect with an insane amount of potential, while still remaining pretty simple. you can mix any two sounds together using it's 4 main sliders, and hone in that effect more with other nifty features!

here's some audio examples!

features

bins: this changes the bin-size of the fft algorithm, leading to different blends of the 2 signals.

overlap: this changes the overlapping of the fft window, leading to different blends of the 2 signals.

keep bass: this button/slider uses a filter to leave the bass frequencies of the carrier signal unprocessed, leaving the low end clean.

the 4 main amp/freq sliders: these allow you to morph between the amplitudes/frequencies of the carrier and the amplitudes/frequencies of the modulator.

+many more!
